To Emily Keyes, Family and Friends With love, John Harden In times like this we feel lost, helpless and often angry. Everything is so surreal. Our emotions are so mixed up. We question over and over what went wrong. The ugly truth is that many things in life get out of harmony. Perhaps because the right attention was not given to someone in his life. A lot of the time there is nothing we can do except realize the importance of becoming better people ourselves. In our minds, let's search for the links that will help us feel love and compassion, peace and harmony. Let us share strength and help each other dissolve our fears. Let us understand our pain and the pain of others and send out the goodness and fellowship of our hearts and minds. Although the young life of Emily Keyes was selfishly interrupted by a lost individual, the soul of Emily Keyes is not lost. Although the spirits and souls of Emily's family and friends have been so tragically disturbed, we each must find the strength to love. We need the power of love to heal. So many people have been hurt. There are so many broken hearts. But, we will heal. Sometimes, just letting others know you're there is all it takes. The soul of Emily Keyes lives on. Send out your love and strength to her precious spirit and soul. Open your hearts and minds and let her be in the midst of your love. Let her feel the security of our strength to make her new journey easier. Her soul and her smile are forever with us. In my mind's eye, to relieve her fear, I kissed Emily's forehead. I believe that some day she will calm our fears in the same way. Believing this helps me through the sadness of this time. We love you Emily Keyes. And we will see you again.
